Russell L. Wavrin, MD 

Dr. Wavrin was born in Owatonna, Minnesota, and received all his education in Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Biology from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. His residency was in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Minnesota and he started his private practice with Diamond Women's Center in 1981.
 
Dr. Wavrin is a Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is affiliated with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and is a past Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Dr. Wavrin's special interests include infertility, evaluation and treatment, as well as colposcopy and treatment of abnormal Pap smears.

Dr. Wavrin is married to his wife Sandra. They have one daughter, one son, and many dogs and cats. His hobbies include golfing, fishing, and maintenance of a cabin.
