CharlieHaisletCharles A. Haislet, MD

Dr. Haislet was born in Minneapolis and received his medical education from the University of Minnesota. His internship was at Washington D.C. General Hospital and George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Following his internship, Dr. Haislet served in the United States Air Force in Japan for three years, first as a general medical officer and then as Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic at the Yokota Air Force Base in Yokota, Japan. He then returned to Minnesota to complete his specialty training at the University of Minnesota Hospitals.

Dr. Haislet is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and he is a HOPE-AWARDDiplomate of the Board of OB/GYN. He joined this group, then called Diamond, Hill and Haislet, in 1975. He was involved in the early development of advanced laparoscopic surgery and has taught laparoscopic suturing techniques, laparoscopic cholecystectomy for general surgeons and laparoscopic herniorrhaphy. He has given formal presentations on various women's health issues for the Michigan Family Practice Association, the annual Resolve conference, the Women Care Conference, the Minnesota Endometriosis Association and the Minnesota Jung Association. He is particularly interested in endometriosis and pelvic pain, infertility and other gynecologic surgery.


Dr. Haislet was awarded the HOPE AWARD (Hospital Outstanding Patient Experience) which recognizes excellent service to patients as measured by the Avator HCAHPS patient experience survey. He also holds membership in the Endometriosis Association, the World Endometriosis Association, International Pelvic Pain Society, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy. In his spare time he enjoys reading poetry, fishing and travel.

RussWavrinRussell L. Wavrin, MD 

Dr. Wavrin was born in Owatonna, Minnesota, and received all his education in Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Biology from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. His residency was in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Minnesota and he started his private practice with Diamond Women's Center in 1981.

Dr. Wavrin is a Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and is a past Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Dr. Wavrin's special interests include infertility, evaluation and treatment, as well as colposcopy and treatment of Abnormal Pap Smears.

Dr. Wavrin is married to his wife Sandra. They have one daughter, one son, and many dogs and cats. His hobbies include golfing, fishing, and maintenance of a cabin.

ElisaWrightElisa M. Wright, MD

Dr. Wright began her practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Park Nicollet Medical Center before joining Diamond Women's Center in 1987.

Dr. Wright is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, North American Menopause Society and is a certified Menopause Clinician.

She is married with two daughters and one grandson. Her passion is tennis but her hobbies include golf, skiing, welding and triathaloning.

KareeLehrmanKaree E. Lehrman, MD

Dr. Karee Lehrman graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1985 and served her residency at Washington University School of Medicine until 1989. She became Board Certified in 1991 by the American Board of Ob-Gyn and is a member of the American College of OB-GYN and the Hennepin Medical Society.

Dr. Lehrman has a long history and connection to her birthplace. She has been part of the Diamond Women’s Center (formerly known as Drs. Hill, Haislet, Wavrin & Wright) since 1990 upon returning from St. Louis.

She believes that at an OB-GYN she has the privilege of providing care for healthy women needing preventative exams, as well as specialty care for woman with various female health concerns. What she most enjoys about her practice is her ability to connect to patients in all phases of their lives, from adolescents needing their first gynecological exam; to caring for expectant mothers through their pregnancy; to helping individuals or couples to achieve their desire to have a family; and attending to the special concerns for women going through the perimenopausal and postmenopausal years.

She resides in Minnetonka with her husband and two sons.

MaryAnnJacobMary Anne Jacob, MD

Dr. Jacob was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Virginia, she completed her Medical Degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1995. In 1999, she finished her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospitals of Cleveland affiliated with Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Jacob relocated to the Twin Cities in 1999 to join Drs. Haislet, Wavrin, Wright, Lehrman, and Associates, now known as Diamond Women's Center. She became a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds affiliations with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Minnesota Ob-Gyn Society, and Hennepin Medical Society.

Dr. Jacob enjoys taking care of women in all stages of life: from adolescence, through the reproductive years, and into menopause. She has an interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques.

She lives in St. Louis Park with her husband and young family. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and traveling.

JuanAngelatsJuan C. Angelats, MD

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Angelats grew up in Chicago's western suburbs (Hinsdale), one of three children. His father is a plastic surgeon at Loyola University Medical Center and his mother is a homemaker and philanthropist.

Dr. Angelats earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in 1994, and earned his M.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1998. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota/Regions Hospital in 2002 and joined Drs. Haislet, Wavrin, Wright, Lehrman & Associates, P.A. that year (now Diamond Women's Center).

Dr Angelats is able to provide a wide variety of care to his patients. His areas of interest include infertility, general obstetrics and gynecology, abnormal PAP smears, colposcopy, LEEP, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. He always attempts to tailor the proper evaluation and treatment to each individual patient’s needs and goals.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Angelats enjoys traveling. A seasoned traveler, he has toured Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Dr. Angelats also maintains close ties with his extended family in Peru and travels there yearly. These journeys not only keep him in touch with his heritage but also keep his Spanish language skills sharp and fluent.

While not treating patients or traveling, Dr. Angelats is a sports enthusiast. He enjoys running and playing tennis, basketball and soccer. He is also an avid sports fan of both college and professional sports.

Married in October 2004, Dr. Angelats and his wife Erin reside in Edina with their three daughters.

DanChowDaniel T. Chow, MD

Dr. Chow was born and raised in New Jersey. He graduated from Northwestern University Medical School in 1992 as part of the Honors Program in Medical Education. He then completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology, also at Northwestern.

In 1996, Dr. Chow was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He served as an attending physician there until relocating to Minnesota in 2000.

Dr. Chow joined Diamond Women's Center in January 2004. He was recognized in the May 2007 issue of Minnesota Monthly magazine as one of the "Best Doctors for Women"; and in the 2008 "Top Doctors" issue of Mpls St. Paul magazine.

Dr. Chow and his wife, Martha, a veterinarian, live in Minnetonka with their twins, Ava and Jacob. An avid sports fan, he also enjoys playing the violin and traveling. Dr. Chow enjoys all aspects of General Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility. He is most appreciative of the rewarding relationships he has formed with patients through the years.
